Papers, 1840-1973.

Consists of Churchill's personal and professional correspondence, administrative files, teaching files, lectures, writings, and photographs produced during his tenure as John Homans Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and his tenure at Massachusetts General Hospital. The collection also contains war reports, maps, correspondence, journals, and patient records generated during Churchill's military service during World War II. Also includes records from Churichill's service on the Hoover Commission and his tenure as president and his involement in American Surgical Association. His personal papers, including oral history transcripts and personal memorabilia, are also included in the collection.
